RECYCLING BINS THAT CONTAIN TRASH WILL NOT BE PICKED UP

The Town contractor can NOT collect recycling cans that contain trash.  If a recycling can is found to contain trash or bagged recycling the Town contractor will ask the customer to remove the non-recyclable material before proceeding with collection.

Please note that there will be no exceptions to this policy and is required for the overall effectiveness of the recycling program

Allowing recycling bins filled with trash to be handled as regular waste has lasting negative impacts and undermines our sustainability efforts.
