Soap Box Derby 9 AM - 3 PM. The Southern Maryland Soap Box Derby will be held on Saturday, June 7th on “Derby Hill” (Fenwick Street in downtown Leonardtown) beginning at 9:00 a.m. Youth ages 8-17 from St. Mary’s, Charles and Calvert Counties will race their soap box car for an opportunity to compete in the All-American Soap Box Derby finals in Akron, Ohio.
