POSSIBLE INTERRUPTION TO WATER SERVICE

Posted on March 10, 2008:
The Commissioners of Leonardtown Utilities Department will be conducting repairs and upgrades to the Town’s water distribution system at various locations between March 10 and March 31, 2008. It may be necessary to interrupt water service to some customers as a result of this work. To minimize the effect to customers, most of this work is planned to occur at night between the hours of 9:00pm and 2:00 am. If the Town believes your water service will be interrupted during this work, a representative will deliver written notice. If no one is home, the written notice will be left on your door. If the utility crew encounters problems while performing the scheduled repairs, they may be forced to turn off more customers than originally anticipated. If so, you may not have received notice of the interruption.

We appreciate your patience throughout this project. The Town’s Capital Projects Coordinator, Mark Grant, is supervising this work. You may reach him at 301-904-3962 for more information.

If you have any questions or concerns about your water quality after the water service is restored, please contact Jay Johnson, Utility Superintendent at 301-475-5445.
