The Leonardtown Business Association (LBA) was formed in 2000 and is now flourishing with a membership of over 50 businesses! Dan Burris is the current President of the LBA, and has served in this capacity since 2002. Maria Battaglia Perrygo of the Do Dah Deli served as LBA President from the LBA’s inception in 2000 through 2001. The 2007 LBA officers: President, Dan Burris of Burris’ Olde Towne Insurance; Vice-President, Dan Norris of DNR Solutions; Secretary, Brenda Wise of B., A. Wise Consulting; Treasurer, Sonia Zidzik, of Z-Boutique. Goals of the Leonardtown Business Association include drawing awareness to Leonardtown businesses and promoting the economic, professional, cultural, and civic welfare of Leonardtown. The Association encourages growth of existing businesses and offers assistance to new businesses seeking to locate in Leonardtown. The Association strives to keep the businesses informed of Town issues and brings issues of concern to the Leonardtown Town Council. One of the ways the LBA promotes Leonardtown is through its support of special events including the popular Earth Day Celebration, Beach Party on the Square, and Christmas on the Square events. LBA members receive monthly updates on what’s happening in Leonardtown, are afforded an opportunity to showcase their business, and are eligible to participate in special advertising opportunities.
