Beginning at 8:30 a.m., the College of Southern Maryland will participate in a National Day of Remembrance Sept. 11 at all three of its campuses. The activities will include a moment of silence and opportunities to reflect and volunteer. Members of the community are invited to join college staff, faculty and students in the remembrance activities. September 11th Remembrance Pins will be distributed. At 9:30 a.m., members of the community are invited to join the Board of Education and Leonardtown merchants and businesses for a remembrance gathering at the flag pole in the Town Square.
