Veterans Memorial Monument

Posted on November 13, 2001:
Dedication of the new Veterans War Memorial Monument in honor of our deceased Veterans of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War followed the Veterans Day Parade on November 11th in Leonardtown. The Monument, placed in the Town Square, bears the names of 79 of our St. Mary’s County Veterans who gave their lives in the defense of our great country. The Memorial project was coordinated by the Leonardtown Lions Club and the Leonardtown Commissioners, with the support and contributions by our citizens, businesses, and local government. Donations are still being accepted and may be sent to the St. Mary’s County Memorials Association, P.O. Box 203, Leonardtown, MD 20650
